Silver Coast express, Gold Coast express, Golden Bridge express, Winding express... these are still existing train names, which from the capital city to Lake Balaton in the blink of an eye, and you can start recharging.
The train is a truly iconic vehicle in the history of Lake Balaton and transport around the lake. Without it, Lake Balaton would not have developed at such a rapid pace from the 1860s onwards
and would not be one of our country's most popular tourist destinations, with more than 1 million people* arriving by train every year to recharge their batteries.
The name of the BALATON Express chocolate bar is both a reference to this iconic means of transport and a the promise of a quick recharge, after which you can scoot along like an express train.
